I graduated from the University of North Dakota in 2009 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. I received my Master of Business Administration from the University of South Dakota in 2013. I graduated with honors from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 2013.

Following law school, I served as law clerk to the Judges in the southern portion of the First Judicial Circuit of South Dakota which is comprised of Bon Homme, Yankton, Clay, and Union Counties. I joined the firm in August of 2014 and became a partner at the firm in January of 2019.

PROFESSIONAL EMPHASIS AND EXPERIENCE

As a small town lawyer, my practice is general in nature. My primary areas of practice include estate planning, probate, business law, property law, criminal and civil litigation.

PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS

I am licensed to practice law in South Dakota and Nebraska and I am a member of the State Bar of South Dakota, the Nebraska State Bar Association, and the Yankton County Bar Association. I am also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of South Dakota.

COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES AND INVOLVEMENT

I am legal counsel for Onward Yankton, Inc. which is a non-profit corporation established in 2016 with the goal of making Yankton into the entrepreneurial center of South Dakota. I am also involved with the Yankton Bar Association.
